• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

We keep waiting, when will this finally happen for us with loved ones living with Autism. It's everywhere now.USA needs to find a spokesperson and televise a 2 day telethon.Lots of these families don't have the income for therapies, special needs, etc. My family is quite blessed to have all we need but what about the ones that do not. Not everything the school offers is what these youngsters need.

i totally agree. autism is everywhere, and there are so many families taht aren't able to afford the programs their children desperately need. our society needs to become more aware than they are about autism, so people can see the need for help there is. autistic children are so precious!

Autism is getting a bit more support with the NFL these days. I would like to see all disabilities pulled together for a National-Worldwide telethon.
My child has Traumatic Brain Injury and Autism.Talk about feeling left out and challenged.I have been told atleast 50 times by whoever has seen my 14 year old that they've never treated or worked with these 2 combined disorders before.
Life was easier when it was just the Autism.I can't tell you how it complicates things.
