No it isn't. An experiment attempts to reproduce the condition hypothesized. You are free to live your life as though the hypothesis has been supported, even through pseudoscience. You are not free to force your lifestyle on others

It isn't my problem that you can't accept straightforward scientific evidence. Greenhouse gases go up . . . temperature goes up. Doesn't get more obvious than that. The only reason you are having trouble facing up to reality is that you don't like the politics of it.

Like I said, you can believe what you wished based on the data collection but lacking any experimentation. But don't expect others to sit back idly while you try to force a lifestyle on them that they don't want.

All of the experimentation shows that carbon dioxide traps heat. All of the experimentation shows that increasing carbon dioxide traps more heat.

But don't expect others to sit back idly while you try to force a lifestyle on them that they don't want.

I wasn't aware that ignoring reality was a lifestyle.

Yet nothing shows that man is causing climate change

No, it's data collection to develop a hypothesis. Calling it experimentation to test the hypothesis is pseudoscience

Holy cow. That is the EXACT opposite of how science work. First hypothesis, THEN testing. Were you not taught this in junior high and high school? I'm not trying to be a jerk but that is literally THE most basic concept in the scientific method.

wrong. Speaking in absolutes like "nothing" is a weak man's argument. Say the science supporting it is "weak" (not that that can be supported) but to claim "nothing" supports it is just completely wrong.

The data collection we see in the case of global warming is not testing. No testing has been performed to substantiate the hypothesis of global warming

IN this case, "nothing" is the appropriate description

How, exactly, do you define testing, if data collection isn't that? Aren't you aware that experiments are tested for the sake of data collection?

Either you have no understanding of science, or you're denying the evidence because of some crazy amount of bias. How science works has been explained to you by many people already, and you respond with these weird, baseless claims that run contrary to how science actually works.

Testing hypotheses against empirical observations is exactly what science is, and that is exactly what they are doing with global temps.

Firefox can't find the server at www.anenglishmanscastle.com.

What is that supposed to mean?

One of my initial posts included a blog that discussed the HARRY_READ_ME files and was totally disregarded just because it was a blog. What is interesting is that so many people who claim to know all about Climategate, seem to know absolutely nothing about it.

You posted a link and a question:
The link you posted contained a link to Harry_Read_Me.txt:
One of the most disturbing files was a more than 200-page document called HARRY_READ_ME.txt.
That link is broken - I get "Server not found: Firefox can't find the server at www.anenglishmanscastle.com" when I click on it. The "MRC Newsbusters" link is only a few months old, so it is surprising that the link is broken already.

I see. Well there are more sources:

Instead of relying on quotes taken way out of context, why don't you discuss the actual science and show us what the problem is. Reference the actual papers and show us how the data was wrongly manipulated.
Because they don't actually read the papers, they look for articles that support their bias and call that research.
