The article makes a lot of assumptions about costs without providing any evidence to back them up.
It also doesn't mention that Obama has cost US taxpayers $1.4 million each year since leaving office and Bill Clinton has cost taxpayers $21 million since 2000. Both of these men are very wealthy and have absolutely no need for these tax funded subsidies, yet they still prefer to let US citizens pay their bills.
Trump continues to donate his $400K salary to US agencies.

maybe he should use that to pay for his golf trips and stop when it runs out?
tulc(just a suggestion) :)
No, because he promised not to receive the salary, but due to legislation had to be paid regardless, so he is putting that money directly back into US agencies.

Did you post anything critical about any of Obama's taxpayer funded activities when he was president? Doesn't it bother you at all that he continues to let taxpayers fund his lavish lifestyle despite being extremely wealthy?

uhmmm...he's made a lot of promises he didn't keep, why would this one be any different?

Nope, because he never abused it. How about you? Have you ever criticized President Trump for spending over $125,000,000 on golf trips in his 3 years in office?
Trump Golf Count
Cost to Taxpayer: About $125,000,000**
*Daytime visits to golf clubs since inauguration, with evidence of playing golf on at least 114 visits. Our last recorded outing was on February 2, 2020. Click on complete data table for a list of Trump's outings, or view our breakdown of total costs.

hmmm...where did you prove he has done that? You made the claim, shouldn't you then provide the the proof in support of it?

tulc(so much winning for the promise to "never leave the White House if he was elected") :D
12 trillion dollars has been added to the stock market since Trump was elected and you are worried about 3.4 million? Trump more than pays his way. Already our economy has made huge improvement under the Trump - Pence administration. We can all look forward to 4 more years of Trump and 8 years of Pence as president.

...then why do we need to pay for his golfing? Shouldn't he pay for that? I'd think if someone "more then pays his way" he'd be able to cover that also.

"Thank you President Obama!" Because this whole economy is like it is because of what he and his administration did.

It's sounding just a little more desperate each time it gets said. :D
tulc(suspects by this time next year a lot of President Trump supporters are going to be all "Who's President Trump? Never heard of him.") :sorry:

I suppose that might be considered true, when he took the economy to the bottom, the only way it could have gone is up.

That has to do with 911 and the idea that a war can begin at anytime. So they need to take all of their presidential stuff with them. Like the ability to be able to communicate with their generals and people in charge. They carry a briefcase that has the codes to launch nuclear weapons. So the president goes back to Obama and Bush. Obama use to spend a lot of money to fly to Hawaii to play golf. Presidents tend to copy each other like that. A strike against the continental United States would offer perhaps fifteen to twenty minutes’ advance notice. That is not enough time to get back to his command post in the white house. A president has to be ready for anything at all times. During 911 they had to dispatch a jet fighter plane to shoot down a commercial jet plane headed for Washington. That is serious stuff and you need all of the information you can get to make the right decision.

Recently in Baghdad they had a situation where our embassies were under attack in that city and Trump needed to take action to deal with the attacks. I have a brother in law that was working in one of those Embassy. Not the one they attacked or the one they bombed. They had advanced warning and he was give a weeks vacation so he was not actually there at the time of the attack.

During 911 the president left and the vice president stayed in the White House. He tells the story about being taken down into the bomb shelter under the White House that is designed to withstand a nuclear attack. Sometimes they will show pictures of the old WW2 bomb shelters and they were pretty fancy. How much more the modern shelters must be fancy.

hmmm...while that's always been President Trumps talking point, reality and the facts don't match the myth he likes to spread around:
Trump boasts the US economy is the best it's ever been under his watch. Here are 9 charts showing how it compares to the Obama and Bush presidencies. | Markets Insider
