Correct, she prefers them more than I.
I like them but do not like to see lots and lots of them.
I think there is a fine line there. :)
I guess you guys won't be doing a mother-son tattoo parlor expedition, then...

No I don't think so. ^_^
Being a minister I don't want to have too many as it may give off the wrong signals.

That's it! They looks good but you can easily good insane with them. :D
So do you think that faith based tattoos can be effective conversation-starters in witness? I know one or two on here are considering tattoos with a faith element.

I did a lot of thinking & so happy I did it. ..I've learned to come out of my shell. Gettig my tattoo was a part of that learning curve. ..Having a story behind it opens up the playig field to sharing the gospel on a new level.
I do recommend my artist to friends whenever I can.
You sound like it was it was a very fulfilling experience and is a witness means and you often recommend it.

So have you or your mom been considering any more ink lately?
Hi there,

Yeah she has had an extension done on a previous tattoo - it looks good.
I have done for tattoo's now - no more for me.

Yes, it can often be good to receive more work extending an existing tattoo, rather than getting a completely new one; this is why so many half-sleeves turn into full sleeves; seems like you think her extension has turned out effectively and successfully, anyway.

Yes, well, it seems like you have 'tasted' ink and enjoyed it, with no regrets, right? it but are drawing the line on more for the foreseeable future.

I have no regrets; I have pondered on this fact and I'm happy with the decision.
I think you can have too many and mine is just right I feel.
Made me think the other day seeing a man covered in tattoo's and one in a suit - one was Christian and one wasn't.
Looks can be deceiving - people are also too judgmental I think.

Have't had an earring in my right ear for years.
Maybe you still use a ring in the hole on the left side sometimes? because it may close up like the one on the right, if not.

I think it's worth it for guys to keep holes open, anyway.

Now and again I will wear one in my left, however it is a rarity.

Yes, it's just worth keeping the hole open for when you need to use it, right? even if it's not so often.

It's probably the case that if you had originally gotten both holes done at the same time, you would have become accustomed to wearing - even not very frequently - small earrings in both ears as a pair, but I guess it works for you now to have one earring to use on one side.

Yes, a lot of Christians do seem to get tattooed with no regrets. You're right.

The young lady my wife and I talked to with the whole of John 3.16 inked on her wrist area - her favorite verse and mine also didn't seem to regret it; and it proved effective in getting us to talk.

What a great idea!
Tattoo's are good if they have meaning. :)

Well it's something a lot of Christians do; whether as a Bible verse or reference or as a symbol such as a Christian fish sign <>< ("Hey, what's that?" proven effective in witness).

So I guess you long ago decided whether to wear a stud or a ring in your ear, when you occasionally do?

I don't se anything wrong with getting a tattoo. This may seem typical but I have a Butterfly tattooed on my right shoulder blade. I chose this spot b/c its easy to conceal and away from the sun. I am very careful to wear sunscreen on it so it won't fade the colors. I chose the Butterfly for spiritual reasons symbolizing when God took me from the world into life in Christ. The guy who did it was a christian. I think that is very important b/c you don't want just anyone to do it, you at least want someone who knows what you are talking about. I like the idea about the fish tattoo.

Yes, the <>< Christian fish sign is a popular tattoo among Christians.
