That doesn't apply to things like rocks and that, does it, since they are not alive. So embedded age doesn't really work if you use that definition.
Maturity without history.Age with out time.
Nice way to talk yourself out of understanding. That doesn't apply to things like rocks and that, does it, since they are not alive. So embedded age doesn't really work if you use that definition.
And of course, you cherry pick the definition you want from that list. What about the definition immediately after that one? The one that says that age is, "the length of an existence extending from the beginning to any given time."
This will easily apply to any physical object. So age is a measure of how long something has existed for. And thus, embedded age does not work.
That makes no sense to me. Can you explain? If I say to you "I embedded one of the ages of life in this Rock" that means something to you?
How long is this going to go on before a light bulb comes on?That makes no sense to me. Can you explain? If I say to you "I embedded one of the ages of life in this Rock" that means something to you?
I know I understand, I just think the idea is bonkers.Nice way to talk yourself out of understanding.
Likely until you get to the part where you start speaking plain. How long is this going to go on before a light bulb comes on?
No argument there. There's no light bulb.
No argument there. You misunderstand. There's no lightbulb connected to your ideas.
Yes, it does matter. To borrow from the title of a famous article by Theodosius Dobzhansky, 'Nothing in astronomy or geology makes sense without deep time.' Everything that we observe in astronomy, from the craters on the planets and satellites, through the stellar populations of star clusters and the structures of galaxies to the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background, is the product of (or, perhaps better, a stage in) continuous processes with time-scales of millions or billions of years. The history of these objects extends back far beyond human history, and, for some of them, to before the origin of the solar system.Does it matter?
What's the key word here in "after the Fall" and "after the Flood"?
I say the key word is "after".
What say you?
Then why are you asking if those craters came after the Fall or after the Flood, if your genetist-who-thinks-he-is-an-astronomer says they came millions of years beforehand? The history of these objects extends back far beyond human history, and, for some of them, to before the origin of the solar system.
The facts are that the rate of collisions between the inner planets (including the Moon) and near-Earth asteroids (NEAs), or, which comes to the same thing, the rate of destruction of NEAs, show that the craters on the inner planets were formed over periods of thousands of millions of years, and that rates of stellar energy generation and synthesis of 'metals' (elements other than hydrogen and helium) show that the time-scales of stellar evolution are between hundreds of millions and tens of billions of years. Then why are you asking if those craters came after the Fall or after the Flood, if your geneticist-who-thinks-he-is-an-astronomer says they came millions of years beforehand?
God provided the lightLike in Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Which was before the sun. Surely you can see a problem with that.
I'm pretty sure that the spiritual Light of God is not the same kind of stuff as is the physical light of the Sun.God provided the light

Read Revelation.I'm pretty sure that the spiritual Light of God is not the same kind of stuff as is the physical light of the Sun.
