    Exactly. Matthew 23 is well worth the read. Put it all in context about being more concerned about the greater matters, rather than the little things.

    but the little things are still important right? Yes, Christ is the most important. But if a baptismal cross were unimportant, we wouldn't have them in the first place, would we?

    Absolutely! But the point is not to lose sight of the weightier matters as one strives for holiness in all things. In other words, the baptismal cross is meant to help you, not cause you grief and anxiety if you happen to misplace it and need a new one, or take it off for some activity or another.
