Believe it or not, many Americans
are willing to risk their lives in the voluntary armed forces to defend democracy in other nations. They don't go aiming to commit suicide of course, but to fight and be successful.
Honestly, I feel sympathy for
Russian troops and their parents, more, in this war -- they are often treated by their command like cannon fodder, sadly.
All that said, it's certainly "good for the United States" if Putin is stopped in Ukraine before American troops have to fight directly to defend nations in NATO later like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.
You see, if Putin takes Ukraine today, Moldovia tomorrow, then....NATO members are next:
If NATO did not defend, then of course all the rest of the Warsaw pact would become likely soon enough, and then why not Germany also....
See, the problem with ignoring the evil that Putin has begun is it won't just go away if you ignore it, but will grow instead.
