    This is the first I have heard of this and the only article I have read so my statement is based on my understanding of this article.

    I agree with the Supreme Court that the federal law was over-stepping it's authority. Gambling laws should be left up to the people of the individual states.

    It was a states' rights decision. 6-3, with Justice Kagan voting with the 5 conservatives that Congress overstepped its bounds by prohibiting sports betting nationwide. It would then seem that a state could legalize political betting. At least on in-state races. And why not on national elections? Would that be considered interstate commerce, over which Congress has jurisdiction? It would definitely be interesting. Instead of discussing polls, we could discuss moneyline odds. If I were a political bookmaker, here's my current line on two November election bets. Based purely on conjecture at this time:

    Democrats win a House majority. ±100 (Even odds)

    Democrats win a Senate majority. +200 (2/1 against.)
