Ernest prayer took place in the church vestry in Sunderland where Rev. Alexander Boddy was the Vicar. They were praying for a revival of the Holy Spirit in our land. He said,'We were praying for power from on high'.When an outpouring took place in Norway,Boddy visited the work there.TBBarrett was their leader. Boddy invited him to Sunderland where many were praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It came and many were baptised in the Holy Spirit, including Rev.Boddy and his wife. Convention meetings were held and the Sunderland Outpouring was to Great Britain what Azusa Street was to USA. The Pentecostal experience is now wide spread around the world and is available to all believers!

Alexander Boddy edited a paper
called 'Confidence' (1908-1926) that gives information about the Sunderland Outpouring and spiritual input. Alexander Boddy was the first influential Pentecostal Leader in those days.

Many leaders and people visited the Sunderland Outpouring conventions and returned to their home, churches and communities with the infilling of the Holy Spirit flowing out to others. We owe a lot to those early Pentecostal believers!

If you ever come to Oslo, you should visit Cafe Barratt. It is the foyer of the Filadelfia church, which was founded by Mr. Barratt. It is still a strong church with about 2.000 members
. Your post is a real encouragement. Thankyou,'The Norwegian'. Are you a member there?

No, I am not a member of the Filadelfia church in Oslo. I have been there a few times, though - including having a meal in Cafe Barratt
So good to meet you here. God bless you!
