What Sunday School stories from the Bible did you enjoy! I loved the account of God creating the heavens and the earth and still do!

Jesus and the Samaritan woman.... I loved the fact that Christ had come to break all barriers, which had brought upon animosity between the Samaritans and Jews.

Yes! Thanks for sharing,'Franki..' Jesus showed such great respect to that woman of Samaria. She perceived that He was no ordinary man but 'a prophet'. He told her things that he could have known no other way. Of course,we know that He was more than that! He was the Christ,the Son of God,the Saviour of the world. He could give water that would lead to salvation and eternal life. 'She went away a singing and came back a bringing,others for the water that was not in the well!'

The story of Samuel as a child who heard God calling him, he thought it was Eli the priest calling him, but it was God.

The story of the little man called Zacheus,who was a taxcollecter. He climbed up a tree,because he was very short,to see Jesus,in the crowds. Jesus called him down and he became a follower of Christ and made restitution to those he had taken too much tax from.

The story of Daniel the man who would not lower his values when ordered to worship the country's King. He continued worshipping the True and Living God and when he carried on praying was thrown into the lion's den. But God shut the lion's mouths and they did not devour Daniel and the King changed the decree that officials had tricked him into and he ordered that the people should worship God. 'Dare to be a Daniel'!'

The story of Jonah and the Big Fish! Jonah tried to run away from God rather than go to Ninevah to preach to the people there. He went to Tarshish instead and ended up on a sea journey where the sailors were alarmed when a storm broke and he was thrown overboard and swallowed by the Big Fish. After three days and nights,God rescued him and he landed on shore. Children and adults love this story!

The story of Samson the strong man and how he was lured by Delilah to give away the secret of his strength and when she cut his hair he became weak and was captured by the Philistines. When his strength returned his act of sacrifice destroyed the enemy but his own life was taken.

The story of Gideon,who when God called him a 'mighty man of valour',looked behind him to see who God was speaking to. He went on to do mighty exploits for God!

The story of the shepherd boy David and the giant Goliath and how God won the victory! God can win the victory over every giant in our way!

The story Jesus told of the Wiseman who built upon the rock and when the storms came the house stood firm But the foolish man's house built on the sand collapsed. Build on Jesus!

The Feeding of the Five Thousand from a little boys lunch of five loaves and two fishes. Jesus multiplied it for the crowds to eat and there were twelve baskets left over!
