The fact that there are scientists and researchers Grpiean fair emphasized that the Arabs and Muslims have made to humanity civilization, towering in all areas of experimental and theoretical, and that they were two races to the fields of experience and observation, which arms them with the West after he got up and remarkable upswing.
Sigrid Honkh says: "It was not Roger Bacon, the level of scientific chemistry in the highest of his contemporaries, not that he saw in the experiment that he took from the Arabs true way to reach conclusive results in the natural sciences, especially in chemistry,

Says Sigrid Honkh: I have learned Euclid and Ptolemy that the naked eye sends rays to the things you want to see came to Ibn al-Haytham and announced that this claim is wrong because there is no radiation emanating from the eye to achieve a look but the form of visible objects that reflect the rays on the eye See this by lens .

Says Sigrid Honkh: The first to do a blind eye to the mistakes of Galen and criticism and then came the theory of blood circulation was not Sarvitus Spanish and Harvey English, but was a man of Arab integral of the thirteenth century AD, the son of al-Nafis, who arrived to this great discovery in human history and the history of medicine before Harvey four hundred years before Sarvitus three hundred year "(30).

It follows (Gustave Le Bon) of the research in this area that the science of surgery owes to the Arabs than the inventions basic, and remained their books in which a reference for a study in medical schools until very recently, were known in the century atheist th Birth address deceiving the eye to cut the lens in or out, and they were know the process of lithotripsy, which he described Abu al-Qasim clearly, and they knew pour cold water to cut the bleeding, and they knew, chemicals and wicks, and they knew the shrine, any drug that he thought he of innovations present time, using the Zaan to hypnosis the patient before painful operations, until he lost consciousness and senses (36), has attributed this scientific discovery to an Italian doctor first and to some Alexandrian Second, while the truth is, history testifies: that the art of the use of narcotic sponge purely Arab art is not known by them (37).
Sezgin says: "The more persistently rights of the original sources in the study of Renaissance Europe increased conceivable that these so-called renaissance like a child with his father attributed to non-real" (48)

The most important science
Suggests that the Qur'an: 1) Arabic language: This is required
(2) Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.

(22) And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge

--2) zoology and anatomy, medicine, and this necessitated the call to consider the self and the people
And animals

allah said((21) And in yourselves. Then will you not see
(12) And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay
(13) Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging

(45) Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent

--3) geology and geography, astronomy and mathematics: this suggests to consider the call in the mountains and layers of earth and condition and the call to consider in the sun and the moon and the earth and the universe, allah says((30) Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?

(31) And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.

(5) It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know

--4) Plant Science: This is required by the invitation to consider the ground Cereals and trees
(10) It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]
(11) He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought..

--5) Science History: Archaeology and required by this invitation to walk in the land known as the first news he says: <(44) Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent

--6) Science military life: the meaning and required (60) And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. >

(Gustave Le Bon) and (Sarton) and (Sigrid Honkh)

"she says," then there was that I moved

Theory to scientific experiments - the Arabs - that shook the world entity, the Arabs

In Andalusia are the first to use it in Europe. "
7) Referring to the letter such as some types of minerals and industry, said Lord—

(12) And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper.

(25) We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

(17) He sends down from the sky, rain, and valleys flow according to their capacity, and the torrent carries a rising foam. And from that [ore] which they heat in the fire, desiring adornments and utensils, is a foam like it. Thus Allah presents [the example of] truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] cast off; but as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth. Thus does Allah present examples.

--8) Referring to the manufacture of bricks and construction: He says> (37) And construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration and do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned."
38. Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O chiefs! I know not that you have an ilah (a god) other than me, so kindle for me (a fire), O Haman, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a Sarhan (a lofty tower, or palace, etc.) in order that I may look at (or look for) the Ilah (God) of Musa (Moses); and verily, I think that he [Musa (Moses)] is one of the liars." >

--9)The most important ..... his references to modern science, which already by the recent discoveries are:
1 Chemistry, scientists say: Every body is composed of different proportions of certain elements of this so-called chemical and weights have this theory

(49) Indeed, all things We created with predestination

(2) He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination

This is an old book, and out of print now, I think. I gave a copy to a friend of mine years ago when he enlisted with the Marines and they put him in school for Arabic. He asked me what I might have that was useful, and I told him first to read the Quran and some history, and then read this book to realize that whatever state the Islamic world may be in now, at one point in history it was the shining light on the planet and the cause of human progress, so keep that in mind and have some respect. ;)

Anyway, I have since found the book is available online it may be worth a read:

Islamic Contributions to Civilization

I'm not really keen on looking at anyone's Holy Book to prove anything about science, mostly because that's been so abused in history as a way to hold science back rather than move it forward. However, the contributions of Muslims to science and medicine are well documented even if not widely recognized among people in the West.

Are these OPs generated with Google translator?

No offense - I have nothing but respect for people who tackle a foreign language so bravely. I've studied quite a few languages, but I only dare to communicate once my grasp has become fairly secure (with the result that English is pretty much the only foreign language I use on a regular basis).

Anyway, I gave up on trying to fully understand these posts a long time ago, finding that even though it's possible to unpuzzle them, they always boil down to proselytizing.

Aye, muslim nations experienced a golden age of learning and culture at a time when (Western) Europe was essentially a third world slum where peasants and nobles alike festered in their own filth.

HOWEVER, Wahhabi muslims and other fundamentalist groups hold that this was already a deviation from the One True Path, basically conceiving of this Golden Age as a corruption that needs to be weeded out.

The original Quran was not written in Arabic as you know it today and as it written in the 'Arabic' Quran bought and sold today. In that verse Muhammad is saying that the messages were delivered to him in the language he spoke and understood which was a dialect which is no longer used today.

Those here paying any kind of attention to these threads will note that on one topic the words are taken literally and on another topic they need to be 'interpreted'.

As for the rest of the OP it is a lot of words amounting with little substance!

Do you know any form of Arabic?

Yeah, the same thing happens in discussions about interpretation of Biblical passages -- even between Christians.

As for the rest of the OP it is a lot of words amounting with little substance!

Your postings on Islam resemble this remark.

I think so.

Aye, muslim nations experienced a golden age of learning and culture at a time when (Western) Europe was essentially a third world slum where peasants and nobles alike festered in their own filth.

Pretty much. If anything, the Crusades provided more contact with the world of Islam at the time, and kicked off improvements in the West.

And that was then.

HOWEVER, Wahhabi muslims and other fundamentalist groups hold that this was already a deviation from the One True Path, basically conceiving of this Golden Age as a corruption that needs to be weeded out.

Yes, well. I would like to say this about that:

Praise be to God, the medieval ages of darkness have passed away, and this century of radiance has dawned -- this century wherein the reality of things is becoming evident; this century wherein science has discovered the means to master nature; this century which in its entirety is a service to the world of humanity; this century wherein we have established the foundation of the world of humanity. Is it fitting that we should still linger in our fanaticism and tarry in our prejudice? Is it behooving that we should still be bound with old fables and superstitions, and be handicapped by the superannuated beliefs of dark ages that are past -- again waging religious wars, again fighting one another, still shedding each other's blood, shunning one another, anathematizing one another? Is it becoming?

Is it not better for us to be most loving to one another? Is it not preferable for us to enjoy fellowship together? And unite and sing anthems of unity towards God, and praise all the prophets in a good and praiseworthy spirit?

(Compilations, Baha'i Scriptures, p. 398)
