  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

There are 7 suicides in the Bible and All were spiritual failures. It is the ultimate act of UNBELIEF and disowning God and leads to loss of salvation as these passages clearly warn us about.

    Matthew 10:33 NIV
[33] But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

    Matthew 24:13 NIV
[13] but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

    Luke 8:13 NIV
[13] Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

    Luke 14:29-30 NIV
[29] For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, [30] saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'

    Romans 11:20-22 NIV
[20] Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. [21] For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. [22] Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

    1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NIV
[16] Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? [17] If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

    1 Corinthians 15:2 NIV
[2] By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

    Hebrews 10:37-39 NIV
[37] For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. [38] But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." [39] But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

    Hebrews 3:14-15,18-19 NIV
[14] We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. [15] As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." [18] And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed ? [19] So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

    Hebrews 3:6 NIV
[6] But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.

    1 Timothy 1:19 NIV
[19] holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.

    2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV
[7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day---and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

    2 Timothy 2:5 NIV
[5] Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules.

    1 John 2:24-25 NIV
[24] See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. [25] And this is what he promised us---even eternal life.

    Revelation 2:11 NIV
[11] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.

    Revelation 2:10 NIV
[10] Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

    Revelation 21:8 NIV
[8] But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars---their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

I don't see suicide mentioned in that list. Which verse says it's the ultimate act of unbelief?

So, if I die with a different unrepented sin against me, I'm ok?

It's true, you don't have a chance to repent after committing suicide. It's self-murder same synonymous connotation as suicide. (Exodus 20:13)

Dying with any sin will put someone into Hell. We have to ask the Holy Spirit to check our garments daily to ensure we don't have any spots or wrinkles. (James 1:27, Ephesians 5:27, Revelation 21:27)

If we're on our deathbed we have a last chance to repent of all iniquity and wipe all known and unknown sins before dying to have a chance of entering Heaven as there's more than we realize. It's a very narrow entry way to come back home to Heaven.

Not really. You have to have a relationship with God. Following Him gives us an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11) It's constant communion between God, the Holy Spirit and Christ. By hearing His voice, talking to Him daily, asking what you're missing in life. Example Questions: Are there any assignments I'm missing? Where am I supposed to be? What church do I attend that's on your registry? Am I in my promise land? Did I miss my calling? Are there any spots or wrinkles on my garments? Who are my divine helpers? Do I have any underlying trauma or secret sins I need to repent of? Do I have any ancestral curses or generational curses I need to break? Are there any holes in my foundation? Does my hedge of protection have any cracks or holes allowing the enemy in? What does the devil have on me keeping me from being closer to You? Do I have anything on the devil's trading floor? Are there any friends I need to let go? Am I married to the wrong person? Am I supposed to be married? Are there any ungodly characteristics I have that are not in alignment with You that need changing? Is there anything blocking my blessings? Lots of inquiry prayers will get you answers to where you need to be with God, these are just a few.

1 John 3 links hatred to murder. Ephesians 5:29 tells us no one has yet hated their own flesh. So, I would submit that self-murder isn't a possible concept.

It doesn't even make sense anyway. If someone hates their circumstances and feelings so much, if they also hated themselves, they wouldn't take their lives, but do everything to remain, just to spite themselves. They wouldn't go to extreme measures to remove themselves as a potential act of relief. It's actually closer to an expression of ultimate self-love.

Daily doesn't do you any good if one sin will send you to hell. That's way too long.

Not really, the closer you get to God He will reveal to you when you ask. It's like having your dad there the whole time to lead and guide you answering your questions. Trust and faith counts - never give up.

That is a very strange response so I'm unsure how to answer that sorry.

But I can tell you suicide is a spiritual attack on a person whether if they are believers or not. This happens when they are about to have a breakthrough in whatever bondage they're in and persevere.

But if they give into the temptation of the evil spirit that's throwing those thoughts (fiery darts, Ephesians 6:16) into their head, they will begin to bombard a believer to the point of suicide and they require intervention and deliverance from God to help overcome it.

That's not what the Bible says. The Bible says salvation is a gift. It's not of yourselves. Everything in your post points to what we have to do when in fact salvation is not of ourselves.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
