Strange similarity of planetary discs to UFOs and crop circles!

I sometimes wonder what really goes on up there

The reason crop circles are circular is that two people with a rope, or just one person with a rope, can make dramatic curved geometry in one pass. Making rectangular patterns or any straight edges of any kind would not be near as easy. A rope will only produce sweeping arcs, but no straight lines. A pipe or board can make small straight edges but is difficult to carry.
