Hello everybody,

I don't know if this is the right place or not, but anyways, here it goes... I am wondering if there are any true stories about how people turned to Christ because of how somebody loved them. I'm not talking about the eros type of love, I'm talking about the agape love Christ shows us everyday. If so, could you please PM me with the reference so I can buy the book/magazine/etc. for future reference?

DEFINATELY look up Kingdom Works by Bart Campolo. He does some REALLY amazing ministry in the inner cities, and I can think of no better resource for how people can be won to Christ through love ALONE. The people who work with him live in a bad part of a big city for a full year (in groups of 6-7) and they spend the year learning how to become neighbors as Jesus intended it. They stay away from street preaching and related ministry because it has so little staying power. Their main 'selling point' is that they'll interact with the community and do things like go door to door asking if people have anything that needs prayer and then follow up on concerns. People really respond when nobody has ever cared about their lives before, and suddenly these new crack-pots come in and come to talk to you REALLY CONCERNED!
