• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

yeah you know what? I can't get an appointment until tomorrow. Guess the clinic maxed out early today.
Sometimes if you type out keywords including your municipality and the problem you have, a helpline number will come up, even if you can't see a medical person face to face immediately.

Hi, I was wondering how do you know stomach bug is viral or bacterial?
Both infections are generally followed by fever, diarrhea, intense stomach pain/cramps and vomiting. Viral infections (stomach flu) don't really have a cure, but the doctor's can treat diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Bacterial infections due to E.Coli or other bacteria can be easily treated with antibiotics. May have something to do with your water supply. Physicians usually do the stool sample analysis to determine if it's a bacterial or viral infection. I'm not a doctor. This is just based on my experience. Will be in prayer and hope that you'll receive medical treatment soon. In the meantime please keep yourself hydrated with plenty of fluids and salts (especially if you're throwing up). Hope that helps :).
