you are not understandingWhat?? Some people like hospital workers and firefighters work nightshifts, I hope if one of them ever comes to your aid at 3am you don't point and call them sinners. Or would you prefer they stayed in bed and nobody took your emergency call?
That's a good habit if you are an early bird.i go to sleep early
So what?i go to sleep early
What is there to understand here?you are not understanding
Even if you can challenge its healthfulness, nothing in the Bible declares it to be a sin. That would have to come from a lesser playbook.stay up late, improper? sin?
In Eastern Christianity, sin is EXTRINSIC to our true nature.Even if you can challenge its healthfulness, nothing in the Bible declares it to be a sin. That would have to come from a lesser playbook.
More to the point, "sin" is a nature. Adding more items to one's list of sins is not going to deal with that problem. Past the "big" ten, if the Holy Spirit tells you to do something and you refuse (or tells you to stop and you continue), those are sins. (Just repent & resume your walk.)
Luke 6: 12 said:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
Seems like Jesus liked to stay up late as well.Matthew 26: 40-46 said:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
Is that the position of the OP?In Eastern Christianity, sin is EXTRINSIC to our true nature.
