This thread had a clean up of posts debating the Trinity. Posts on this site do need to comply with the site Statement of Faith in regards to the Trinity, even in Controversial Christian Theology.

It is important to note that there are two ways forgiveness of sins is seen. One way sees the sin as forever gone, wiped out, not just covered over.

That old law sacrificial system merely covered over sins not imputing them. Impute is the operative word: Psalms 32:2 "Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile."

We can compare that to what Paul said about where there is no law there is no imputation of sin:
Romans 5:13 "(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."

Yet what does Paul say about punishment for sin even then? "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses ...." So though sin is not imputed does it mean sin is forgiven in a complete sense? Or, does it only mean the following? Psalms 103:10 "He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities."

You see, we take far too much for granted and as a result many remain full of excuses (not simply excuses that they already had in them but generated anew by false teaching) which then keeps them sickly.

I somewhat disagree with your post.

God never changes.
However men change, as does their understanding.

Mankind is born in sin.
He can not make his body become without having sin.

God covered Adams body of sin with an animal skin.

That clues me in, that SIN of an earthy man IS NOT REMOVED, but Covered.

When one recognizes blankets, animals skins, clothing, are physical things, covering a physical body, the satisfaction of the physical eyes, is their SIN is Covered.

However when we continue learning we find, Gods Covering of SIN, is not physical, but rather Spiritual. It is not with animal skins, blankets, clothing, but rather with the reflection of His Glory, His Light.

Sin is darkness, the absence of Light, the absence of God who is Light. Gods Light IS Supreme, the overpowers darkness, that it CAN NOT be SEEN. The darkness IS Covered By Gods Light.

When a man submits His Life to God, the man IS Giving God the Authority to Spiritually Enter the man, and Fill the man with the reflection of Gods Light, which Completely Covers the mans / Sin/Darkness.

God Bless,
Happy New Year,

I agree with you.

But I see that covering as similar to how we would work with a troubled child. We cannot help a troubled child by telling that child how bad he or she is. So out of love for the child we choose to pass over making judgments because of their sin and proceed to show faith in the child's desire toward good, emphasizing the good knowing that it provides the child with something better to see and to direct themselves toward. And we know that in this way which through love exercises the patience of faith in that child we are not just pushing the child the direction of becoming a self-fulling prophecy of the bad that it is so easy for them to think they are.

What we focus on is what we cause to grow.

IMO....the “sleep” verses are metaphors.

Man has 3 parts: body plus soul plus spirit
The body and the soul combination is a mortal

Concise and on one point!

Happy New Year,
