Father in Heaven, Thank the LORD for His creation and His people; and for the goodness of God's will. Thank you for revealing God's will, written in the Law and the Prophets, and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. O Lord my God, teach us to stand firm in God's will and that we are faithful and obedient. In the power of the Holy Spirit, may God's will be done, not ours, forever and again. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A daily prayer that we may "stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." (Colossians 4:12)

God's will (the intent and purpose of God, according to Scripture) for his creation and His people is revealed in the Law and the Prophets (books in the OT), which find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ (books in the NT). A central aspect of God's will is that His people (sinners/saved) be faithful and obedient.

Stand Firm

God's will is fulfilled in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:9-10, Ephesians 3:4-11, Colossians 1:27)

• Jesus Christ obeyed his Father’s will (John 6:38)
  
• Jesus Christ's death fulfilled God’s will (Galatians 1:3-4)

God desires many things for the world:

• Justice and righteousness (Amos 5:24)
  
• Honesty and truth (Proverbs 12:22)
  
• Harmony and peace (1 Timothy 2:2-3)
  
• For the world to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4)

God desires for His people (sinners/saved, the redeemed)

• Loving obedience (Matthew 22:35-38)
• Worship (1 Peter 2:9)
• Holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
• Love for one another (John 13:34-35)
• High moral standards (1 Peter 2:15)
• May involve that we may suffer (1 Peter 3:17)
