This also brings up an interesting point. We have Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her sister who is also named Mary? What parent would name two of their children by the same name? One explanation that is given is that Mary of Clopas was a sister-in-law of Mother Mary, having married Clopas who was Joseph's brother.
