And is it just me, or is Tone 5 in Byzantine MUCH more difficult than the others?

haha, yep. we have Met Tikhon here. so yesterday we spent about 8 hours in Church. crazy indeed.

I'm actually still wishing for more time in Church (if only real life didn't need attending to!) ... but I think that long would have done me in right now.

It's such a deep, meaningful and beautiful service.

I really enjoyed it.

Being on the chant stand and doing so much of the reading, it "sank in" so much better for me.

It reminds me too (the readings) of another service we did recently but I forget which one. It might have been a Vesperal Liturgy.

But I love the whole tone and the reverence.

Awkward moment . . . .

we have a new guy in our office whose last name is Greek. So yesterday I stopped to say hello and I asked him if he were Orthodox. His response? "No, no, I'm a Christian."

Wasn't expecting that!
