I miss the Army but there's no way I could pass the run time for the PT test. I still do a lot of push-ups though, helps with my martial arts training.

Is that Paschal Vigil quite similar to the Paschal vigil offered at Catholic Churches which follow the traditional 1962 missal (except being in English)?

I only went to one "Mass" at a Western Rite church and that was not during the Pascha season.
