Last night I had the luck of catching the space station as it flew over us. It looked like a really low-flying satellite, so low we thought it could have been a plane.

Has anyone else been lucky enough to see it?

Apparently it orbits the earth every 1.5 hours so you could very likely catch it at night time if the sky is clear.

My boyfriend and his friend are from Dubai, where between the city lights and the sandstorms you can't see stars, much less hope to see the Space Station. When I first told them we stargaze and look at satellites and shooting stars where I live, they thought I was crazy. They had no idea this kind of stuff can be seen with the naked eye.

So glad I live in a place where I can still see the beauty up above!

I've seen it numerous times without even intending to. Seen lots of satelites as well.

Yeah it's very bright and pretty noticeable, so I think even for the places where it's difficult to stargaze, one could possibly see the space station.
