Why would they be? Trump's the one on trial (along with his family, who are also named in the indictment), "everyone else" isn't involved.

So? Are presidential candidates now exempt from criminal prosecution? Maybe I should declare my candidacy...apparently, it gives me carte blanche to commit any crimes I like!

And yet, as I keep saying over and over again, his convictions do not bar him from running, or even being elected.

So that won't stop him.

-- A2SG, you may want to find some other conspiracy theory, that one doesn't work......
Perhaps you have missed the…”thinking”.
Why is the government going after Trump?
We know that since he loves this country so much he’d never break any serious laws, these ”process-crimes” are just a way to get him to lose his next election! We’ll see if we STAND FOR IT AGAIN this time!

This has been the Right’s MO for a decade (or more), make up something, get mad about it and demand things when reality doesn’t align with “what is known”.

I'm not saying any of that. I'm saying the judicial system has wasted years of opportunity to put Trump in the slammer. Anyone else guilty of illegal possession of top secret documents, leaking top secret information, and causing insurrection should/would have been behind bars by now.

Yes that's whole the point. The judicial system has had years to to make criminal convictions that would have put him in jail and kept him out of the White House, but now there's probably not enough time for that.
This theory still misses the fact that CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS DON'T BAR SOMEONE FROM RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.

Lyndon Larouche and Eugene V. Debs both ran for president, and both were convicted felons.

So, I say again, this conspiracy theory doesn't work. You may want to find another.

-- A2SG, plenty of them out there.....

They didn’t prosecute Trump when they should have means that they cannot now becuase it looks like they’re just trying to knock him out of the running?

That probably has more to do with Trump's money than him, personally. The rich can afford better legal representation and afford the time to delay things indefinitely. That isn't unique to Trump.

-- A2SG, he might even be more successful at avoiding accountability if he actually paid his lawyers.....

No. Read what I've actually been saying and try again.

Excuses, excuses.
Maybe so, but they don't make the theory that the courts are trying to prevent him from running for president any more credible.

Because they can't.

That might be because your theory doesn't work.

Try one that does, that might be better.

-- A2SG, you never know.....
You clearly think I've been saying something that I haven't been saying, and have therefore have been off track the entire time.

Then try saying it differently, because that's what it seems like you've been saying.

What, exactly, have I gotten wrong?

-- A2SG, willing to listen.....
If that were the case, this wouldn't have been going on the way it has for several posts.

So put me on the right track. What have you been saying? How can the courts "knock him out of the running" when criminal convictions don't actually do that?

So show me exactly what I got wrong, we we'll work from there.

Because you seem to think the courts are being used to prevent Trump from running for the presidency, or taking office should he win. That clearly doesn't work, since they can't. So what did I miss?

-- A2SG, and please, be as specific as you can to keep misunderstandings to a minimum.....

Try using more than one sentence to express your views?
The condescension is a nice touch, but wholly unnecessary.

Going to prison would at least keep him out of the WH , wouldn't it?

Probably not. Most likely, he'd be given house arrest...or, I guess, White House Arrest.

-- A2SG, probably easier than rigging up a remote work station in his cell....
