LA sibling art rock duo Sparks have just released their third single from their upcoming album "The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte" (out on May 26th), titled "Nothing Is As Good As They Say It Is".

Songwriter/keyboard player Ron Mael has ingeniously crafted the lyrics to refer to a 22 hour old infant who has seen the big bad world around him, and wants to retreat back into his mother's womb as a result.

Despite the somewhat flippant nature of the lyrics, it has struck me in the feels as to why I feel hesitant about bringing children into this world knowing that there is so much evil, decadence, and wastefulness in it.

Jesus taught: "Unless you change and become as children, you cannot enter God's Kingdom", "Be not like children in your thinking, but rather as far as evil is concerned".

Musically, it is a return to their 70's rock roots with a big wall of guitars which they largely set aside to become an electronic band after 1978.
