I agree with the OP the sovereignty of God is essential to our faith. But the most important?
I think the personal nature of God, that he is relational in both the economic and immanent Trinity is probably the most important definition of who God is. Because the Trinity is relational, God is relational to us, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives.
This comes out of “God is love” (1John 4:8, 16), and other attributes. It goes without saying, God must be sovereign, or he is not God.
But Allah is sovereign, as are many other gods. What makes the Christian God different from other religions, including humanism? (Man is on the throne!)
It is that God is personal and relational. That is what distinguishes the Father, Son and Holy Spirit from all the other attempts of humans to make God in their own image, as opposed to God making us in his image.
