• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

Someone sent this to me, and asked for my opinion

Here's the link, with my response below. You can tell me what you think. :)

Fr Michel Rodrique's "My last message" Dec 8 you will know everything "Soon the Mark of the Beast" - YouTube

Well, it's certainly a good incentive for everybody to quit fooling around on the edges of iniquity and to get their hearts right with God---I am guilty of this as much as anybody else. As for the December 8 date.....well, I take a "wait and see approach". I always recall that in Matthew 24:36, Jesus told His disciples that not even *He* knew when the end was coming---only God the Father does. So I'm not sure if Gabriel has the jump on the exact date. [IMG] That having been said, I will say that if it *does* happen, it certainly wouldn't surprise me. With the state the West is in, along with the Chinese determined to take over the world, and the nearly complete moral degradation of our culture---even in the Church---there's no doubt that *something* is coming. It may be the end of the world, it may be the start of a new dark age, it may be a 3rd world war, or it may merely be a complete rollover in the world order, similar to when Rome fell or when America triumphed in World War II. It remains to be seen. Stay tuned and keep praying. [IMG]

This priest has been known to be a bit of a whackadoodle . I guess his Bishops have disavowed his prophecies.

Yes, this is a good message.
Dec 8 is the celebration of the Immaculate conception of Mary.
This was necessary so that she could be a fitting vessel to carry the Lord, Jesus Christ, in the same way that the Arc of the Covenant carried the Ten Commandments of God.
Now think: in just the same way we in the Catholic Church have last year, had the year of the Virgin Mary, and now the year of St. Joseph.
So to whom does it make perfect sense that Rome will dedicate next year to?
Wait for it, prepare for it, and don't be surprised when you hear.
Make your preparations early, and if possible, secure a safe place before that date in December.
For some of us that's not possible, but do the next best thing. Gather your food and supplies if you can.
Gather a paper and pen to record what happens, gather your rosary and pray often, and do not be afraid.
God will know where you are.

Hi. :) I see you're new here, so I will gently point out to you that you're in the Catholic forum, and nothing that's posted in here can contradict Catholic dogma or doctrine. You're welcome to post here, ask questions, and discuss; but (again, I'm trying to be gentle here) this is not the proper place for expressing opinions such as that above. :)

We don't worship Mary, but we do pay honor to her as we do to any saint, and Mary can properly be called the Queen of Saints. Be blessed!

That which will be revealed will NOT be whom you expect, but the events to come will follow prophetic scripture.
Find as safe a place as you can, and be prepared to wait while events which have been foretold, take place.
    May God be with us!

I am not discounting the message but I am skeptical of the messenger. I believe we are in the birth pangs and close. I have no where to run to. I am going to stand on Christ Jesus and whatever happens , happens. I just pray and hope that I can stand.

    I understand.
This is a very common reaction, and I am familiar with it. Nor am I the only one who has received this same reaction.
For as long as there have been unexplained happenings in history, there has been a reaction of fear to that happening.
And even when later those same events have been explained and accepted by the Church, the initial reaction has been one of fear.
So do not worry, but wait, and see what happens.
And meanwhile, know that historically speaking, you are in good company.
so no offence has been taken.

And as to the immaculate conception of Mary, Blessed Duns Scotus was the first to put forth that message in the 1300's.
And yes, he was also received with doubt.
