That depends. Are the heterosexual people who engage in this practice saved Christians? If they're not, then yes, they're going to Hell, but not for this sin alone.

Do you believe heterosexuals engaging in oral sex or anal sex are committing a sin? Are they going to hell the same way homosexuals are? What is always brought up is "sodom" so sodomy includes those two things which heterosexuals participate it...

As an agnostic (please note the symbol by my name) who doesn't regard sin as real, I leave it to individual Christians to decide what is and is not a sin. There seems to be quite a difference of opinion over it. But, it's their story so they can do what they want with its unique terms.

Depends on whom you ask. Of course, I don't believe in such a place.

"Always"? You obviously travel in a much different sort of circle of people than I do.

From what I gather from the various definitions, "sodomy" has several meanings, so it behooves anyone using the word to make sure the listener knows what the speaker has in mind. Personally, I don't have any use for the word.

I think you've gotten all Christians who think homosexual behavior is a sin confused with the nutcases from Westboro Baptist and Fred Phelps. Just because I believe it is a sin doesnt mean I think you are going to hell. I wouldnt wish that on anyone. If you are saved, you are going to heaven. However, I do think you are going to be ashamed when you stand before God and have to answer why you engaged in homosexual behavior and why you tried to convince others that they should give up and live that way too.

The Bible teaches that the non-Christian will stand before God on Judgment Day. What makes you think you're going to have an opportunity to have God answer any questions you might have?

Can you prove that any of that actually happened? Can you prove that any of the other divine or miraculous stuff in the text happened? Corroborating facts? Physical evidence?

Can you prove it didn't? Many books have been written on this subject. Sources outside the Bible point to a historical Jesus. The works of Josephus are one. But all that is beside the point. We clearly have different meanings for proof. It is probably best not to try to persuade me or prove something to me unless you know mine.

Logic says the burden of proof falls on the affirmative position.

I think it is entirely possibly that a historical Jesus existed. Though, despite supporting information in some text, there is a suspicious lack of evidence in some of the more comprehensive historical accounts of the time. There may well have been a historical Jesus or at minimum one or many philosophers of the time preaching/teaching a similar doctrine.
It is the divinity and the miracles that I doubt.

I believe the practice of sodomy as taught by conservative churches is only sinful if the couple is of the same sex.
