Who do you think pays for the socialist dream? The rich are able to rig their taxes to avoid paying. Or they simply move to a new country. Businesses likewise, the bigger the business the better they are at avoiding tax. Socialism takes income from those who work and gives it to those who do not. Like me, for example. OK, I paid upfront as I was in the workforce for 50 years. Now I'm on a pension. Since people are living much longer, the old age pension is sending the country broke.

True socialism, as in North Korea for example, is state control of everything. People do not accept that Nazi Germany was socialist. They were. Every aspect of life - unions, education, science, industry, politics, society in general, health - you name it, Hitler controlled it. If that's how you want to live, give North Korea a try. You might change your mind.

I'm a big fan of democratic socialism. Capitalism , I'm not a fan of, basically exploiting the little people/working class.
Socialism does not work. Even China has expanded economically because of free enterprise. Capitalism is also a failure, unless you are one of the few beneficiaries. Free enterprise, where people can have a go and their efforts and talents are rewarded, is what will build a nation.

Being paid a wage to do a days work is not exploitation. I've tried running my own business. Never again. I'm not cut out for it. Those who do start successful businesses often work ridiculous hours and sacrifice much in order to succeed.

Australia is now in the ludicrous situation of high unemployment yet job vacancies being impossible to fill. The "COVID" unemployment payment is now so high that many are not interested in working. And who foots the bill? Those who do work.

. We programed in the states to treat socialism as a dirty word here. There's plenty countries where democratic socialism is successful . We think health care as a right is bad . Where in every developed nation besides us , it's implemented.
We pay like the most for health care and aren't even top 30 in overall care. Just like we aren't even top 10 in quality of life iirc.

Capitalism overrated and is exploiting the little man. No way around it.

Dude no one wants complete socialism. And many of those people who do not work...can not work. The haves do, do not want to help the have nots...by the way that is one Christ's biggest rules...helping the have nots...you actually can not get into heaven if your a have and ignore the have nots...Luke 16:19–31. And the most hilarious thing all those socialist programs the conservatives hate...when life hits them and the lose everything...there the first in line looking for a handout. This is how most country work capitalist socialism...a combination of both.

I

I am not especially rich but I agree

I was told by this prophet once that Christians who don't tithe go to hell. He would put this on his Facebook page. But he had a ministry with the homeless. I support this kind of thing but I noticed he never asked them to tithe! So I called him out on his double standard. I said to him well I refuse to tithe and am going to hell. So those people will too! He blocked me for that

It did am or me because am not hugely rich but I was expected to tithe and those single mothers and homeless werent!

I think God should either make everyone tore or no one has to, people can just give cheerfully

Junia many of the homeless have nothing to tithe. There so focused on survival that everything else is thrown to the side. Unlike most Christians I think god looks more at ones actions than how they worship or tithe. If you give a homeless person 10 dollars get a meal or 20 to get a coat, or by them a meal or a coat...your giving to god. The to most important commandments are love the lord and love your neighbor...you can not break a single one of gods laws if you are following those two. And the bible says everyone is your neighbor. And it also says if you are showing love to your neighbor you are showing love to god. That is essentially what Communism and Socialism is. Everyone working towards a common goal. The reason it is not feasible is it require every single person on the planet to not be selfish.

sounds a good idea to me

So just like them I don't tithe but I do try to give small donations sometimes. God holds me.to the same standard.as them because my heart intention is to be generous even though I'm not wealthy either.

And I think everyone should be giving what they can, we all can give something. God expects all of us to give offerings even if we can't afford tithe. God won't judge any of us harshly if our intention is good

Wait until you get it. Then you'll realize that Socialism in theory looks wonderful but Socialism in practice is never what was promised. The people do not run things in a Socialist society; the "representatives of the people" do. And when they do, they become the master class and make sure that they remain so.
