I have no time to read anymore.
Nor do I have any new material.
I am however writing my novel...does that count?
I have found a website that has quite a few recent science fiction ebooks free for download:
Baen Free Library
There are also quite a few for sale at reasonable prices
I have about a dozen of these ebooks loaded on my Sony Reader, and I am currently reading The Course of Empire by Eric Flint

Finishing off: Darrell L Bock's IVP commentary on Luke
Just started: New Handbook of Pastoral Liturgy - Michael Perham
Planned holiday reading: Resurrection and the Son of God; +N.T. Wright.
Hopefully will also finally finish: No Future Without Forgiveness; +Desmond Tutu.
I'm reading Common Prayer: A Commentary on the Prayer Book Lectionary: Vol 1 - Sunday Next Before Advent to Epiphany VI by Robert Crouse. It was passed out (free!) as part of my church's Advent readings.
I am hopeful that I will get some new books for Christmas. THe last few novels I have tried have been disappointing, but we are expecting a baby in the New Year and I'm not going to be up for serious long books. Some well-written enjoyable novels would be just perfect though.
I'm reading the fourth volume of Fr. John Meier's A Marginal Jew: rethinking the historical Jesus

I just finished this one and highly recommend it.
In the Shadow of the Temple : Jewish Influences on Early Christianity by Oskar Skarsaune
Dear No Swansong,You are the second to mention this book in the past few weeks to me. I'll have to look for it. I have been reading a lot of Christology lately, it sounds as if it might fit right in.
How have you been my peace loving friend?
Do you like your reader? I've been thinking about getting a Kindle.
My son decided to stop being a bum and is now halfway through college. So, I have to put off my education for a while so I can pay for his. In the meantime, I do subdeacon stuff and teach the adult sunday school.Your recommendation is enough to put it on my list my friend. How are things coming along in your ordination process.
