Trump once again requests mail-in ballot despite repeatedly attacking method

theGuardian said:
Palm Beach county election marks the third instance of the former president voting by mail since 2019

His latest action further undermines the talking point, advanced by him and others, that mail-in ballots cost him the November election.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/10/trump-mail-voting-ballot-palmbeach/

Does this make him a hypocrite or is he one to whom all is allowed?

Its hypocrisy but not the first act of such nor the last. Still Trumper's will explain it away as perfectly fine and blame democrats at the same time. For me though: if it walks like a duck and talks like duck it still a duck whatever other name folks give him.

It's hypocrisy.

Unfortunately, GOPers are so shameless that leveling charges of hypocrisy at them doesn't really work anymore; they just don't care. Though the optics of Ted "Cancun" Cruz taking a vacation while his fellow Texans froze in their beds was bad enough that it forced him to hastily fly back here.

The Guardian has a neat way of choosing its words so very carefully as to be able to deny lying. That is the case with this story. Trump may have said that mail-in votes cost him the election, but that doesn't mean that every mail-in vote was fraudulent. However, when ballot applications are mailed out, unrequested by any voter and there is no stated reason for the voter to be unable to cast a ballot in person, also that people unrelated to those voters can bring a completed ballot, with or without the required signature, back to the voting station and have it counted...

...THEN we have a problem. And every fairminded person should be able to see it.

What you describe is a problem, but where/when/how did it occur?

We would have a problem, if that's what was happening.

Almost all of that happened recently and at the hands of Democratic Secretaries of State or other state, not federal, officials.
Almost all of that happened? What didn't happen?

Have you got any specifics? I know there was talk about things like that and vote harvesting does go on--the Republicans in N.Carolina got nailed for it last mid-terms.

Well, it IS happening and has happened. There's no secret about it.

Of course, not every item I rattled off there applies to every state of the union.
Which is why we were asking for specifics.

You might instead ask what ELSE happened. For example, there are also the ballot drop boxes located outside city hall and elsewhere (so that you aren't inconvenienced by having to leave your car in order to deliver your absentee ballot to the clerk's office). Some of these have reportedly been broken into, not surprisingly.

No, you listed certain things in your previous post then said some of them happened. I'm asking you, out of that list of things, what didn't happen?

I've not heard of any being "broken into" only one that someone started a fire inside of it.

It was reported that two people broke into a dropbox but it turned out that they were election officials picking up ballots from the box.

It took me ten seconds to find out that six of these boxes were broken into in various locations in Virginia and that crowbars were used. That's one report only.

Wait up, you are conflating two separate issues - applications for a ballot and a ballot actually cast.

...THEN we have a problem. And every fairminded person should be able to see it.
If a ballot is cast with the required signature, what is the problem?
