  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

so after much consideration, I finally got my first tattoos. What do you think?

I always like Kerosene (and actually forgot that it was by Big Black) but never liked Big Black....they're too..I dunno..."noisy"...almost like Sonic Youth. Not pleasing to my ear.

LOL-- Sonic Youth is the closest my husband and my musical tastes come to converging. I never liked them much either- I thought they were alright-- but he has several albums.

I was not a huge Big Black fan- but this song was one I listen to many, many times...

    LOL! I found this ... http://youtube.com/watch?v=bz57Pc19Ys0

The love of my life once crooned to me "I'm celebrating my love for you with a pint of beer and a new tatoo!!!!" Lol- there was a whole different sordid story from the first night we met and hooked up- with him involving me talking about the very first time I ever saw a satellite in the night sky when I was camping in the Grand Canyon--and we simultaneously burst out with "I saw two shooting stars last night, I wished on them, but they were only satellites- is it wrong to wish on space harware? I wish, I wish you cared...." It also involved bizarre uses of Dr. Pepper...

When someone says that, you know they're cool. That was gonna be my sig here once but I forgot to do it.

Stop posting youtube links and not telling me what they are! You pique my curiosity and my workplace won't let me access youtube. In fact, if a thread title has "youtube" in it, I can't open it...must be because the thread title becomes part of the URL here? Oh well, because I can't know, I'll guess what you linked to.

    1) Funky Cold Medina - Tone Loc
    2) We Wish You a Merry Christmas - John Denver and the Muppets
    3) Rock Soldiers - Ace Frehley (the cheeziest song ever made, bar none)

Curious as I am, I'll leave that alone.

That's funny. I went to highschool with Steve Albini. That's the first I've seen him since just after we graduated. He was in a band with my girlfriend.

That's me- pique-er of curiostity....you know what happens to baby elephants with inastiable cursiosity... (that's a Kipling refrence for the non-literary)

Tone Loc-- there was a synapse far better left unfired...LOL! I actually OWN the Muppets Christmas record...And I hope I get supreme points for not even knowing what the heck that last song is....

The first link was Big Black..the next one was The Bruisers......next one was New Model Army - Vagabonds....and the last one was Greetings to the New Brunette.

Yeah...I miss that guy...first guy I ever made a baby with (I had a miscarriage)...we had quite a story I wish I'd have gone back to him when he drove his beautiful '72 LeManns across the desert to find me with a sterling silver key- the key to his heart....but alas :sigh: I wouldn't have my children-and they are the best part of me...

It was interesting(it's probably make a great book, but it would be too sad to write)...now pretty much it just blows... I mean :sorry: it is gloriously perfecting me for heaven....It's kind of like a case study in just exactly how many needs and wants can go unfilled without falling into the depths of despair (that's another children's literature reference). ROFL! :D

Ooooh...Kirsty. Cool chick. Ever hear Billy Bragg's "Sexuality"? It is a truly awful song that will make you cringe at it's lameness. Kirsty is in that video too, I know it used to be on youtube and probably still is.

Oh, and Rock Soldiers was an Ace Frehley song after Ace got kicked out of Kiss (Kiss sucks too). These are the lyrics:

It was back in the summer of '83
    There's a reason I remember it well
I was slipping and sliding, drinkin' and drivin'
    Bringin' me closer to Hell

And the Devil sat in the passenger's side
    Of Delorean's automobile
He said: Hey Frehley, Frehley let's not be silly
There's a life out there to steal

With a trooper in the mirror
    and Satan on my right
We went the wrong way down a one way road
    Hitting everything in sight

    I cried "I am invincible"
Said I was high above the law
But my only high was just a lie
And now I'm glad I saw

    Rock soldiers come
    And rock soldiers go
    And some hear the drum
    And some never know
Rock soldiers! How do we know?
Ace is back and he told you so.

    Calling rock soldiers
    You! Rock soldiers
    Calling rock soldiers
    Hard rock soldiers

Friends say they'll stay with you
    Right through that danger zone
But the closer you get to that fiery hole
You'll have to make it alone

When I think of how my life was spared
    From that near fatal wreck
If the Devil wants to play his card game now
He's gonna have to play without an Ace in his deck!

You have to hear it to know just how bad it was. A friend of mine and I were discussing the lamest bands from when we were kids (Kix, Tora Tora, Dangerous Toys, Danger Danger, Cats N Boots, Sleaze Beeze, Bullet Boys, Trixter, Accept, that kind of tripe) the other day and this song came up.

Yeah...that whole album was a wierd, regrettable side step... I think it was the last Billy Bragg record I bought.

OOhh- that's brutal... I have never heard of any of those bands...though it seems as though one ought to steer clear of any band that have a redundant name or a rhyming name, or an 'X' substituting for "ck"...

Too cool for the cockrock? A shame. Picture Poison or Motley Crue - but actually lamer.

True story: One of my sister's friends had his named tattooed on his back and then (not even a year later) had his name legally changed to something completely different.
