So.... cultural genocide, yes. But, the same cultural genocide neccesary for pagan Europe, which used to sacrifice to demons, sacrifice people in ways so horrible it freaked out the Romans who understood immediately that these people needed to be civilized for their own good, and who used to wage frequent and cruel war on one another.

The Gospel does this. Cultural expansion does this. It is not a bad thing.

Just a few miles from my home is the site of a battle between the Dakota and the Ojibwe in 1839. It was a massacre, with the Ojibwe trapped in a ravine. One forgets that the Native Americans were not all peace-loving friends. That is a very false mythology. Not that everything the US government did was righteous, but that they did not introduce the trouble to harmonious natives. That is a false narrative.
