Well, I'll kick off a question for the club. What are your top 5 characteristics you are looking for in a future husband?
Mine are
1) Dedicated his life to loving/serving Christ i.e God is his top priority
2) Slow to anger/gentleness
3) Patient with those around him
4) Loves people and animals
5) Either is artsy/musical or appreciates art/music to the extent I do.

What I'm looking for in a husband?
Well, now that I'm a little wiser, after marrying the first man who came along... (and surviving being abandoned, and raising our kids alone...)
He must be... One who truly knows and loves the Lord.
He must know the Word.
He must be a compassionate listener (not just to me, but to others).
He must easily forgive.
Beyond that... I'd love an outdoorsman, a hunter, fisherman, woodsman, inventor-type. Someone who enjoys primitive camping and is into self-sufficiency and survival-stuff. A homesteader-type, perhaps.
He must be a non-drinker, and non-smoker. He must treat women honorably and as mental equals. But I would prefer him to be old-fashioned in many ways. Because I don't intend to start wearing pants. I'm sticking to my long homemade dresses.
And if he wears red buffalo plaid and has a long, full, soft, gray beard, it would seal the deal.

I like guys who are big and burly and like to snuggle and give big hugs.
I like men who work in construction or do hard physical labor

2. He has to love family life
3. He has to love animals, nature
4. He has to be romantic, and with sense of humor, love arts and music
5. Likes sports (and I mean that I would like to go with him for a snowboarding or ski, swim, anything what comes to mind)
My list will blow up im sorry. He has to be gentle and kind, I especially like oldschool gentleman kind of men. Someone I can count on and who will really loves me. Genuine.
