Nice.

I'm going to have to go read the bios as soon as I have a chance. Weekends tend to be busy around here. But I'm looking forward to it - I think. I get too emotional over my kitty stories as it is.

Thank you for this wonderful video. You feel that everything is true, right? Just now my two little tigers sit with me on the couch and sleep. They are such amazing animals and friends.

I do think it's probably all true - with the possible exception of cats' effect on people's sleep. My cat usually curls up by my feet or legs, sometimes wants to cuddle under my arm, and sleeps with me. She never wakes me up but will usually come up and greet me in the morning after I wake up.

Some cats though decide to play in the middle of the night and run over people in bed while they are sleeping and wake them up. So comparing some cats to sedatives might be off.

Now I am so sorry about it, but in the first year I wasn't nice to my cats. If they tried to come into my bed, I splashed them wet with the flower syringe.

Then I liked the cats sleeping besides me and I slept on the couch at night (so that I could keep my own rules). After a few weeks it became too stupid for me and I allowed them to enter the bed.

As a result they are VERY careful not to disturb me. Specially in the summer it's hot with the two hot waterbottles around. But I don't want it differently any more.

When my cat was a kitten we had gotten two kittens. The house we lived in I had a garage that had been enclosed to a large family room. I made their beds in there and put them in there at night, so they never disturbed us.

By the time I did let her sleep with me (the two had started to fight with each other when they played too hard so I didn't shut them away together unsupervised anymore) ... they were both very respectful of sleep. The other cat (my daughter's) likes to cuddle even more, but they won't wake anyone up.

I've slept around friends' cats though that would run over you like a freight train with claws in the middle of the night.

L'Esprit used to jump from a higher place on my belly when I woke up. Maybe he liked my "Uagh!". Or he thought he might get his breakfast earlier.

My kitty's highlight is a late evening play session now. She plays like mad before bedtime, gets her pets in after that, then ready to sleep.

She's on twice a day cycle if I'm home. Morning play and pets too, followed by a daytime nap.

She's always been a creature of routine though. It's good for both of us, and has allowed her to train me well lol.

Does he like comfy or is he attracted to "surfaces different from the surrounding ones"? Does he like to hole up in a little closed cave? Does he like to put himself into containers or does he prefer to stretch out and lounge?

My kitty has had changing habits and her taste in beds has changed too. She just started using the one in the pic after I'd had it for several years and was considering getting rid of it. Her favorite bed at one point was a round clear plastic plant saucer - when she curled up inside of the saucer was invisible and she looked like a perfectly round floating ball of kitty.
