I've written his testimony for him:

"I respectfully decline to answer on the grounds that my answer might tend to incriminate me."

How it would really go:

"I plead the 12th."

Simple yes or no poll.

Should the man at the center of this entire inquiry be brought in by subpoena to give testimony as to what happened on January 6 from his POV?

Yes? No? Please explain your answer why.

Yes, because it would be funny.

Not only would the testimony itself be funny, but so would his inevitable stumble into a perjury charge.

No, because the only way he would testify is under immunity which he does not deserve.

I’d give him immunity on the basis that he never runs for any office ever again (not even local), or that he leaves the country never to be seen or heard from again

No, even with immunity I can't see him testifying truthfully, given his narcissism.

Not seen or heard? Lols. As hard on him as that would be, it would be impossible to enforce. He raises a ton of money which he uses to his advantage.

Yes, because I want to know what he thought he was doing.

Very optimistic of you to think he might tell the truth about his own thoughts about what he was doing. I wouldn't trust the word of Donald Trump to tell me about a good sale at the grocery store.

I haven't voted in the poll, because frankly I can find and make good arguments for both yes and no here; and I can't decide which is the best argument. So I guess I'll have to go with I don't know.

He might plead the fifth amendment the entire time.

Yes, I'd like to hear about how Trump addressed security on the day.
When he knew a large group of thousands were going to the Capital did he inform the security detail?
Was he watching this as it happened on TV?
When was he first aware of violence happening? (Tussles with security and police), breaking of windows, illegal entry to the Capital building)
What did he do to help secure the Capital building and protect those inside, and when did he take action?
When he told the large group to go down to the Capital, did he think that it might get violent?
Did he think that there was a legal possibility to stop the Congress confirmation of the election outcome?
How did he think the protests could have achieved a different election outcome?
Did he think that he had some control or ability to influence the group?

Yes. He needs to be put on the spot to either formally disavow what his own supporters did for him so they can have it on public record and hopefully break out of the cult, OR so that he can admit to his wrongdoing.
