I feel that socialism is one of those things that can look good on paper but always manages to fail in attempts to practice it. Primarily because humans aren't like ants who will work for the benefit of the hive at the cost of themselves without question or desire to improve their control or position in life.

I didn't say humans are ants, and I was making a comparison between how humans and ants behave, which, especially in the case of humans and not so much with ants, is learned, not inherited.

Humans would be classified as apes even if evolution was proven completely wrong.

Regards the NHS, as a Brit I can only say to Americans, "don't knock it til you've tried it".

I have a four year old daughter who's already had four major and one minor operations. The NHS have been nothing short of first class. Particularly Manchester Childrens Hospital which operates on part government part charity funding
