Should I Change My Name?

So here's the thing. I've always disliked my name. The people who named me (my parents), didn't even know me (I love them). Now, when I hear or say my own name, I literally cringe. I had a dream where The Lord called me by a different name and I'm considering changing it legally. I absolutely love the name. Please give me your thoughts. Today is decision day.

Welcome to the forums. IF you are old enough to make that legal decision, then you should be ok in changing it.

But your parents may be very hurt from that.

Funny thing. No one in my family calls me by that name, including my parents. I had decided earlier that I would ask my mom today if she would care. I don't think she will tho.
