When you pose the questions you have, in the way you have, you are starting off on the wrong foot. You are doing cost benefit analysis, not obedience.

Up to you, this is relative.

Should I attend every Saturday or Sunday? Why or why not?
Whenever church is held where you are, and/or anytime you feel like it if it's an all week church.

Are there any disadvantages of NOT going to church? If yes, what are they?
There aren't.

What are the advantages of attending church regularly and becoming a member?
Deeper fellowship with Christians, human interaction, chance to do charity.

What are the disadvantages of attending church?
Same as going anywhere, you may get hurt.

Are there any disadvantages of becoming a member of a church?
Not really, depends on the church.

So you believe that attending church regularly is required?

Can you provide the Biblical/Scriptural basis for this please?

it's relative to if you want to do it.

None of us can give you any sort of advantage, disadvantage, on a factual level, because we don't know your concept of an advantage, or disadvantage.

Comes down to this, if you want to go, Go. If you don't, Don't.

Should I attend church regularly? Why or why not?

If attending church regularly is helpful to your spiritual life, your walk with Christ, yes.

Should I attend every Saturday or Sunday? Why or why not?

If that is useful to you, yes.

Are there any disadvantages of NOT going to church? If yes, what are they?

People might say you're not a real Christian if you don't go to church. Then again, they might say that anyway dependant on whether they agree with your choice of church.
What are the advantages of attending church regularly and becoming a member?

Not too sure.

What are the disadvantages of attending church?

The people there might put you off being a Christian or make you feel as if you are not good enough to be a disciple of Christ.

Same answer for the other questions. Churches are very nice but judgemental, mean, unpleasant and unfriendly attendees can really ruin it which is a big shame.

Luke 17 Jesus told his disciples, “Situations that cause people to lose their faith are certain to arise. But how horrible it will be for the person who causes someone to lose his faith!''

Is meeting regularly with a community or group of Christian believers required?

If yes, why do you think so?

If no, why do you think so?

No, it's not required.

No biblical grounds say that you have to congregate in a building, with other people of your faith.
There is nothing special about a building, that happens to be a church.
It's simply where people meet up.

What is your view of Hebrews 10:25?

not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

I am just going to say what I do because for me to say anything else would make me a hypocrite.

I haven't attended church in a while due to time constraints with work and my children. Generally when Mass is going, either I am working or in transit with my kids who I will not bring to mass. They are two toddlers who will not sit still long enough for me to even consider taking them to mass. Plus, my ex-wife doesn't want me bringing them to mass anyway as she doesn't want them raised Catholic. So, I take them to her before her church starts and they attend her church.

For me to say it's a requirement would make me a hypocrite since I myself do not attend. I just hold church at home with my Bible all by my lonesome and sometimes one of my partners at work will ride with me and him and I fellowship the day away.

A coffee shop is a building. A restaurant is a building. Some people meet with fellow believers in a coffee shop or a restaurant.

Hebrews 10:25

Why is this verse in the Bible? What is your view on this?

I will ask this question of everyone - How do you know that your interpretation of the Bible is correct?

How do you know that you are interpreting the Bible correctly?

All that I believe is "required" (which I'm not sure what we're saying here cause I'm not sure it's so required it's salvation determining, but it may harm your walk) is to "not neglect the assembling of the saints". To my knowledge that's the main verse people use to say you MUST go to church (verses I'm not aware of are welcome of course) So in my opinion, what we're doing right now is kind of the assembling of the saints, I suppose it'd be better if we were getting together in person, but I think the main point is you shouldn't be all alone in your walk, you should have christian brothers and sisters to share your love for Jesus with.

I personally have been harmed by churches. All they ever did was make me afraid to ask honest questions and go with my heart's convictions about what the scriptures meant and what I believed the Holy Spirit was leading me to do. But I live in the bible belt it's pretty conservative down here, and I may just not have found the right church yet.

I will say if you CAN find a great church, that's a HUGE blessing.

I don't know other than the leading of the Holy Spirit, but it's the only option available to me.

My view is that it has absolutely nothing to do with church.

People of the same faith should meet together....at a location of their own choosing.

The Bible seems to state this clearly.

What is your view on my interpretation of Hebrews 10:25?

In a lot of areas I just go with my best interpretation but don't feel 100 percent, but some things I fully believe God has just revealed to me through his spirit, some things repeatedly by coincidences (like an opinion has been in the last 5 youtube videos I've watched even though they had nothing to do with each other etc) And I have a very specific feeling the spirit communicates with me through, and whenever I feel God himself has confirmed it for me? I trust it, and thus far all those things have wound up having more scriptural backing than I realized when I felt God revealed it to me.

However I don't try to convince others my interpretations are correct, and I don't expect others to just believe me about my connection to the Holy Spirit. I just know what I know, and share as much of it as seems relevant to conversations, often times even if I feel 100 percent positive I'm right I'll still word it as my opinion etc. But yeah, holy spirit conviction and just trusting the contexts and repeated themes, when you read the bible long enough repeated themes can make the meanings plain as day.

Personally, I don't adhere to the belief that a Christian must assemble with other Christians in order to make sure that he or she has salvation through Christ Jesus.

Anyone have opinions about this?
