I think 18 is the appropriate age. Even though I'd rather it was 21.

An 18 yr. old should be able to vote for the people who can send them to kill and to die in war.

Under 18 yr. olds can't even enter into a legal business contract and be held accountable. This is for the protection of themselves, their family, and others. They aren't ready to be held accountable for the future of our nation.

How do you figure that? Most of what passes for education these days is propaganda. Vast majority of teachers vote democrat and the unions are virtually 100% democrat.

They can get married in many states at that age. Getting married has far more long-term consequences than voting every now and then.

i have a better argument. if you are working (as a teen) and have taxes deducted from your paycheck or have to pay taxes then you should be allowed to vote.

Then my oldest would have been allowed to vote at 12.
