In the midst of closing a merger between CBS and Viacom, Shari Redstone is quietly exploring a plan to launch a conservative TV outlet meant to square off with the Fox News Channel, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.​

The term re-education channel comes to mind.

Creating another will just feed the itching ears what they want to hear and draw away viewers from other fake news sites. Viacom's Pluto TV has launched a new conservative channel, but Shari Redstone says she's not planning a Fox News TV rival

A Viacom representative told Business Insider that "Viacom has no intention of launching a TV news channel, conservative or otherwise." A National Amusements representative said "the report is not true".

However, a representative for the Viacom-owned streaming service Pluto TV told Business Insider that a new conservative channel, called "The First," went live on Tuesday."​

Not sure what you mean by conservative media "sensationalizing". It's not the conservative media pushing impeachment. It's not conservative which has attacked the current president 24/7 for the past three years.

I don't know the degree of sensationalism on MSNBC as it's not something I tune in to, but how about Breitbart, WND, Fox and Friends? I've heard Hannity on the radio and little of what he says has much bearing in factual reality.

As I recall, Fox was involved in promoting the whole Seth Rich lie to the point where it is being sued by his parents.

I don't know the degree of sensationalism on MSNBC as it's not something I tune in to, but how about Breitbart, WND, Fox and Friends?

I don't pay much attention to any of those you mentioned.

I would again point out that MSNBC and CNN, the two liberal cable news outlets, have been pushing impeachment 24/7 for nearly three years. It doesn't get much more sensationalist than that. Not sure why you want to act like sensationalism is a conservative media thing, when clearly it is the liberal media which has been head-over-heels deep in creating hysteria when there has been no there there for the past three years ... and there's still not ... despite the shrill cries from Democrats in congress continuing to push, one scam after another, anything which might possibly if the stars align properly create an impeachment scenario.

The Democrats and liberal media have nothing on which to base impeachment. There is no evidence on which to base impeachment ... yet they continue to hype the possibility, as if it were real.

I've heard Hannity on the radio and little of what he says has much bearing in factual reality.
