Meeting Jesus.

Inability to change forces me to look Jesus in the eye.
The blushing shame from my own nakedness creeps.
Lucky I know the accuser is merely the father of the lie.
Well now a harvest this fallen angel reaps.
Come see the weeds inside my heart to be burnt!

"Can you remember times of wanton greed?"
Awakened, I hear my faithful Saviour speak
"When you hated from my love to feed?"
In His kind words the fire of His mercy peaks,
I watch my greed tumble out of my psyche.

A fiery ending is the best way to illustrate,
the fate my inner greed meets on his tailspin out.
Utterly rejected and in a most miserable state.
Clear knowledge what his punishment is about,
This past ruler is stripped of his powers.

"Those times you in selfishness did feed?"
The perspicacity of His view zeros in.
His voice gentle, sounding so sweet.
Still I watch my biggest I crumble within.
Tumbling down the tunnel without ending.

"But my beloved child why did you follow?"
His urgent words bring me back from sure calamity.
"How much narcissistic thinking did you swallow?
Come, just let it flow out of your personality,
take on a humble vision of self like me."

Gratefully I take His gift offered to me.
A humble heart inside my chest to throb.
Truly from greedy selfishness free to be.
My dear Heavenly Friend please never stop,
fill my every sense of being with Yourself.

Never did I deserve this.
Your goodness in my heart to meet.
I have done so much amiss.
Yet in loving care You still greet.
Oh how I long forever in You to be.

Again beautiful! But also eye opening. When Jesus shows us how we are in our own selves, showing what we have made up of ourselves, it isn't always a pleasent process.

But when we are standing in His grace, He gently tells us whilst getting rid of it from us. Giving us a desire in wanting to have more of Him within us. More of Him, and less of us.

As once we are His; We no longer live for ourselves, but Christ lives in us, and we live for Him!

Song of Battle.

The arrows streak their flame.
I'm under attack again!
Opening the treasures of my defence,
His loving Word my only chance,
Of surviving the fiery weather.

"Do, don't, eat, abstain, go or stay."
Is what my inner attackers say.
Scornfully throwing their hate around.
My sins sizzling at their sound.
Surrounding me with my own misery.

Now one grabs me by the throat.
My life his scornful gloat.
"How can you trust in God's grace,
When I rub this dirt in your face?"
He demands in accuser's tone.

In humble voice I bow my head.
Lord can You hear what they said?
Yet who can charge Your elect?
Jesus sacrifice makes us perfect.
Please give me faith to stand.

His sword streaks its flame.
Attacking my enemies once again.
His loving Word fells them all.
In the fire of His love they fall,
A wonderful happy ending.

For Jesus is victorious over my sin.
Eternal life He for me did win.
Praises to Him from my heart swells.
As His Spirit of Truth in me dwells.
All glory to Him!

This is also very encouraging for me to read. So much truths shared, and how the enemies attacks can feel like. Yet we have our victory in Christ Jesus, even in our most weakest moments!

I see lies shaping your heart and soul within.
Why continue to deny Him the right to live?
Please kiss the Son lest He be angry!
The Truth is a fire for the dark and secretive!

Don't you fear grilling His Hell forever more?
Seeing His Good Life was lost because of you?

Letting His loving truth redeem you too!

Also you His Holy Name to praise for aye!
Seeds of truthful love inside of you growing.

Redeeming Love like living waters flowing.

In the midst of a darkened world,
keep your light of hope up.
In the midst of people with evil minds,
keep kindness high up to the top.

As we wander through the valleys of death,
we shall fear no evil.
As the Lord's staff and rod will comfort us,
and keep us on the way toward eternity.

Asking questions of Psalm 46.

God is our refuge.

At first blush it seems comforting,
a promise of safety, security, protection.

But at second glance,
there’s something darker hinted at.

Refuge from what?

What threatens our safety, security?
What is it that we’re being protected from?

What’s the thing out there
that apparently provokes us
to need a refuge?

Is it refuge I need,
or is it inspiration to look out
with eyes seeking wonders
and hands ready to reach
for my neighbour
not in fear, but in invitation?

 

[Broken Fence]

Time's Table

Under the moonlight
I heard a disturbing sound
I heard the voice
Of angels all around

The sky lit up
The wind did roar
I heard the angel's sing
Jesus is at the door

Get prepared
Get ready
Christ is coming
Walk steady

The time is set
The table placed
The wedding feast
The race is raced

He is coming
Rather your ready or not
His will be done
Make sure your not caught

Unaware or unconcerned
Christ shall appear
Call His own

But also so true! Jesus's return is nearing by, it is closer to us than ever!

It is just the human mind, looking at what can be seen and what has been, and then judging His coming based from this. We are so foolish when we base our understanding from human knowledge! Trusting in this rather than in God!

A human life is as His Word says;

"whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."(James 4:14)

Looking from a human mindset; When comparing this with the times that have been, looking back and until now in the present, it seems like it has taken the Lord Jesus long to return back. In a busy minded world of it's own, many will think this way. But once we are out and gone from this world, who knows how quick everything will go? As time for God is differently set than how time with us is set, what we think of as long lived is seen more like a moment for God in comparison.

Thinking of this makes one grow in more admiration given to Him! As we cannot fully see nor comprehend His Greatness! We can keep on admiring Him and being amazed by Him, every day!

And again; Since we are aware of Him coming back soon, this should indeed make us want to reach out to the lost more zealously! And waking up more God's fear within us, as His return will not be a joyous day for everyone! For those who belong to Him, it will be a day of great joy! But to those who are lost, it will be a day of terror!
