Why bother to wait for the testimony? Can you imagine if a judge or jury member said such a thing BEFORE a witness could testify?
It's not a trial, but even then, Tony Ornato has already been interviewed. Once last January and again in March. Perhaps there was something he said during that testimony that led Rep. Kinzinger to believe he's not an honest person.

There were also two people from Trump's administration that claim that Ornato not honest.

Two former Trump White House aides are accusing a top Secret Service official and key defender of the then-president's actions during the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection of being a political loyalist with a history of lying.

Troye, the Homeland Security and Counterterrorism advisor to then-Vice President Mike Pence, told USA TODAY Saturday that Ornato has a history of changing his story when it becomes politically troublesome for Trump.

"There seems to be a pattern here of conversations that happen that are inconvenient conversations for Tony and then he comes back and says that they never happened," Troye said. "That really speaks to Tony's character and credibility, and whether he has a history of doing [Trump's] bidding, and then denying it to protect him."

In social media posts, both Troye and Farah said it was Ornato's credibility that should be questioned. And they said he should testify under oath about what happened inside the presidential limo and about the Secret Service's actions that entire day.

There are also sources claiming that back up Hutchinson's claims which the linked article left out.

Accounts of Trump angrily demanding to go to Capitol on January 6 circulated in Secret Service over past year

Then-President Donald Trump angrily demanded to go to the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, and berated his protective detail when he didn't get his way, according to two Secret Service sources who say they heard about the incident from multiple agents, including the driver of the presidential SUV where it occurred.

The sources tell CNN that stories circulated about the incident -- including details that are similar to how former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson described it to the House select committee investigating January 6 -- in the months immediately afterward the US Capitol attack and before she testified this week.

While the details from those who heard the accounts differ, the Secret Service sources say they were told an angry confrontation did occur. And their accounts align with significant parts of Hutchinson's testimony, which has been attacked as hearsay by Trump and his allies who also have tried to discredit her overall testimony.

The only official statement has been from Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi "The United States Secret Service has been cooperating with the Select Committee since its inception in spring 2021, and will continue to do so, including by responding on the record to the Committee regarding the new allegations surfaced in today's testimony."

The spokesman for the secret service doesn't say anything about Hutchinson's testimony one way or the other either.

The linked article in the OP left out a lot of information regarding this story.

This is misconduct on the part of Kinzinger, trying to intimidate someone before he publicly testifies to the committee. There have been plenty of people who have said Kinzinger is dishonest as well. But when you are a member of House committee, a committee of some of the people's representatives, you should first hear the testimony of the witness and then question the witness under oath. Slandering a witness before public testimony is improper.

I've never heard this. Can you provide a source?

Rep. Kinzinger has already heard the testimony of Ornato on two separate occasions.

It's only slander if what's been said about him isn't true. There are multiple witnesses who have said Ornato isn't honest.

Multiple people have said Kinzinger and Cheney are dishonest, so I guess that matter is settled as well. But it is misconduct on the part of Kinzinger to announce that before someone has a chance to publicly testify as to the facts under oath. There had to be multiple Secret Service people in the car, let's hear ALL of their testimony under oath first--you would think committee members would at least have the pretense that the committee is not a sham. Committee members have been caught before spreading fake stories.

You haven't provided any sources that have said Rep. Kinzinger is dishonest, how does that make it settled?

The hearings are ongoing. I'm sure we will get to hear more about the incident involving the Secret Service in future hearings.

There was no incident, no eyewitness to any such incident has come forward.

Interestingly, it would seem that Gateway Pundit likes to lie as well. Kinzinger said that Tony Ornato likes to lie. Tony Ornato was not in the car with Trump - that was Bobby Engel. Therefore, the statement that Kinzinger said that the secret service agent who was in the car with Trump "likes to lie" is, itself, a lie.

Hard to take an article seriously if they can't even get basic facts straight.

We know what's coming Nov and then 24 so...yeah there will be more stuff they well try to dig up but.. since its a lie it will never go anywhere. Those that did see it all already told us what really happen. "Two Secret Service agents, Tony Ornato and Robert Engel, are prepared to testify before Congress that then-President Donald Trump did not lunge at a steering wheel or assault them ".

Says an unnamed source. Meanwhile, Tony Ornato and Robert Engel have remained silent on the testimony that Cassidy Hutchinson gave.

I hope the committee has them scheduled for tomorrow.
I hope they do too.

Also, nice edit of the thread title. Doesn't change the fact that the article's headline is a lie.

The hearsay lady's testimony was so ridiculous. Why didn't Liz Cheney have the actual Secret Service people testify??????? People are claiming her testimony is "fact," if she said she was told little green men
came down in a spaceship on orders of President Trump would that too be a "fact?"

Uh huh, just keep trying to distract from the fact that you're citing a source that's blatantly lying.
