Do those that support the LGBT lifestyle, also support adult incest? Why or why not....

    Thanx...

No, because even if both parties are adults, you still have some very real power dynamics in place, so I doubt the legitimacy of consent.

I'm not sure if this is a serious comment or not.

First, there is no such thing as LGBT "lifestyle."

Second, incest has nothing to do with LGBT issues to warrant a comment drawing comparison.

Finally, I'm fairly certain forum rules do not permit an open, fair conversation about LGBT issues, so this is about as far as the remarks can go.

I always find these kinds of questions strange. It's kind of like asking someone who supports drinking alcohol in moderation or legal marijuana. Why they don't support drinking bleach or taking LSD.

My experience says not. I appreciate the "slippery slope" argument,
but the slope seems to only applies to incorrectly placed barriers.

Incest is an issue that involves protection for those who need
protecting. LGBT issues are for those seeking relationships
with people having similar backgrounds and able to protect
    themselves.

28 but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman
with lust for her has already committed adultery with her
    in his heart.

So if you have thoughts about sex, then you are a sinner.
    Gay or not.

The point of marriage is fidelity to your partner. Have sex
in a committed relationship. Intend to stay in that relationship.

Rules concerning gender differences is not what God is seeking.
Are children born with gender abnormalities under our control?
How can we make rules regarding gender if scientists can't
always determine what gender a baby is?

God is seeking commitment. Your partner may die tomorrow
the day after you meet. God is interested in your efforts
to commit and gender differences or preferences are not the focus.

The point of marriage, and many other laws, is to help you focus on commitment.

Not sure what you're referring to?.... is it that offspring of incest can lead to higher rates of birth defects? We don't honestly know yet what the psychological impact will be on some children raised in same sex households. Risks either way, imo.

True, only in the sense that sex outside of marriage is a sin but, that relationship is blessed by God inside of the institution of marriage. Homosexual behaviour is an abomination according to the scriptures and even if within a civil union, is still sin in Gods' eyes.

I just wanted to know why adult incest is not permissible in the same context as same sex relationships? These are consenting adults engaging in sexual behaviour that are both spoken against in the Bible, so what's the difference. I know it may seem like a long time ago, but in the not so distant past, homosexual behaviour was considered by society as the same as adult incest... the only difference in my estimation is one had a better lobby and campaign to "normalize" societal opinion in their favour.

For some reason people seem to only be thinking of an adult having incest with someone younger. You might want to present an example of twin brothers (30-40 years old) having homosexual relations and see if anyone who supports homosexuality would also support that situation.

Sadly, I know what many think about homosexual relationships, I want to know if those that think homosexuality is ok, do they also think a 30 year old brother having sex with his 34 year old sister is equally ok. If not, then maybe the original process of determining homosexuality was acceptable to Biblical standards, needs a rethink.

It is not up to us to think it is "OK." Voting is also not where it is at.

I've seen this before. The fact that science cannot always determine the sex of a child.
What rules shall we make for who they should have sex with or marry?
Are we to chastise them no matter what? Are we to cut them some slack?
I'm going to let you rule on this one. Let's hear it.

I still don't understand what you mean by 'they can't determine the sex of the child'? Usually by their anatomy??

Not always the case. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but there is a surprisingly large number of those who are born intersex.

I realize that few people are taught how common intersex problems are.
When I discovered how common these problems are, I realized that
anything in scripture regarding how certain genders should act was
simply local history and was a vast improvement on society at that
    time.
The Christian response to society is to treat the genders
even more equally than what was happening in those days.
"Even more" is what Christ would do today.

So because of the degradation of sin upon our genetics causing all sorts of regressive, mutations to our offspring, you say that is the reason to disregard what God explicitly stated. Maybe some are born with developmental anger issues... does God dismiss the prohibition against the 6th commandment?

Seems to me you are saying that God needs to change for our sinful inclinations instead of what the Bible teaches... repenting from sin, turning from sin.
