There are plenty of reasons people are "afraid" of social interactions. Maybe they have had negative experiences in the past with people who are rude and unfriendly. Maybe they have never been taught how to effectively communicate and interact with others. I can think of many reasons that have nothing to do with sexual chastity.

And, in fact, someone equating not looking someone in the eye with a lack of chastity is probably a much surer sign that the person themselves has a perverted mind.

We outgrow our shyness.

People who are fine with their sexual activity will have no problem looking you in the eye.

And those are the ones who obey the Lord's commandments.

I agree. People on the Autism Spectrum have difficulty with that.

I have known overt heathens who intentionally flaut the Lord's commands and are not shy about it in the least.

But insisting that being shy is a sign of sinful behavior does.

How about a child that grows up with an abusive father that insists "children are to be rarely seen and NEVER heard?" And gets beaten every time they speak up or look someone in the eye? Many/most do not outgrow that abuse. They are ashamed for even existing.

And now for someone to say that the reason they do not look at people in the eye is because they are sexually sinning? That is VERY insulting.

Perhaps in a tiny percentage of people there is a medical reason that someone can't look someone square in the eyes. For most of us, though, if we behave ourselves, we can look everyone square in the eyes.

Well, apparently by your admission and standards most people are Godly people. At least there’s that.

Well, I am trying to point people in the direction of sexual chastity. I think it's the right thing to do.

People who do shameful things can't help but have their moments of shame. Still, the point of the thread is that people who obey the Lord's commandments have no reason for shame.

It would be my suspicion that shyness is rooted in sin, but there is more than one sin.
