Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

This Forum is a place for respectful discussion and debate of political issues, by Roman Catholics, in the context of the Roman Catholic Faith.

The Senate Armed Services Committee voted 23-2 Wednesday to approve amended language in the crucial annual defense policy bill which would force “all Americans” ages 18-26 to sign up for the draft, including women.

But this would be absolutely tragic for those that didn't.

Yup, make them register only for combat positions and we'll see how long they love "equality" for.

Of course I think that Obiden is going to probably start another war soon anyway.

Why? Do they register men for combat positions only?

No, but they were previously drafting men only. Equality and all.

That's what I thought the whole point of the "Selective Service" registration was for-- for when they couldn't fill combat roles for whichever Middle Eastern country they want to invade for another 20 years and accomplish absolutely nothing.

The thought occurred to me as well. Why is this suddenly on any lawmaker's radar with so many other things going on? Is there going to be a draft soon?

Well we're pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan, so that means that in order for the weapons manufacturers to continue to get large amounts of taxpayer dollars out of the system, that we're probably going to go into somewhere else that we shouldn't be bothering with, to protect the profits of financial companies & hedge fund investors.

Well, what a great way to assault families from another angle. Way to show care for the people by putting women in places where they are likely to be raped.

While I agree with this statement, I also agree with the statements that others have made about this being the natural outcome of the radical feminist movement. I don't think that it's going to end well for either the women or the military.
