Yes, we need to take "all the counsel of God" and be "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" as God enjoins us in Bible-only studies; rather than religious ideas and various self-pleasing practices ---would you say? New seekers after Christianity should not begin in Genesis, but need to begin reading the four Gospels, and I recommend a first look at John 1; John 3; John 14; and meditate on the Epistle of Romans as a beginning.
