A Greenville County couple is behind bars, charged with homicide by child abuse involving their adoptive daughter.
A judge denied bond to Ariel Robinson, 29, and her husband, Jerry Robinson, 34, of Simpsonville on Tuesday.

Just a news article that popped up on my feed. Very tragic circumstances. If I were to broach a discussion point, it would be the vetting of adoption parents better; and ensuring they're not just looks for a pay day. Adoption should be for genuine love of children, and not love of money.

No one pays adoptive parents; they usually have to pay for that and it's expensive unless they are adopting children that they have fostered ( I think fees are waved in that instance). Foster parents (I believe) do get money from the state to use in care for the children. And yes some foster parents are not great and just want to collect a check, but there are some that truly do it to help children. From your article another couple fostered the child before this couple adopted her. They used prize money from a tv show to assist in the adoption of 3 children.
