Something that I saw and clicked on a link in my twitter newsfeeds just raised up my spirit and wow! The Kingdom is at hand for Saudi Arabia:

[The Lebanese Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al Rai is in Saudi Arabia for a historic visit.

It’s the first time that the kingdom invites a church leader, unlike Christian politicians who visit the kingdom often.]

I hope that any Catholic can go there and worship at last. Those Maronites are in full communion with the Holy See and any one in communion with the Holy See, a Catholic from any Rite can go and worship for free.

This would be very surprising if it happens, given what Muhammad said. "I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim." The second caliph also forbid the building or repairing of any Church in Muslim land.
