Firstly As Salamu alay kum to Musims.
I vote for longer term liberalisation of the country, not instant regime change. History takes decades. Then again I have never been there, but some of the "huddud" (legal penalties) seem cruelly harsh, like there is a reliance on bloodshed to maintain order.
Regarding gay marriage, I don't think its Islamic, so you would likely have to leave the faith to get married like that. I think that apostasy rules are mistaken and go with Tim Winter the Western scholar that its an artefact of a later period, revolving around treason not religion as such.
But I am not really qualified as a scholar of either religion or history, so I'm really representing my personal biases.
