The DNC was correct that she would win the popular vote by a big margin and many more people like her than Donald Trump. Although the way they said it turned out to be wrong, their reasoning was not.

Many people who voted for Trump will vote for the Democrat. There were many votes "for Trump" in 2016 that really were "against Clinton" by Democrats.
